Our Story
LunchLens was born from a simple observation: school nutrition directors were spending countless hours manually documenting meal compliance, taking photos, and preparing for administrative reviews. Despite their dedication, the manual process was time-consuming, error-prone, and took valuable time away from what matters most—serving nutritious meals to students.
In 2023, our founding team—composed of education technology specialists, computer vision engineers, and former school nutrition professionals—came together with a shared vision: leverage AI technology to solve one of the most persistent challenges in school meal programs.
After two years of development, including extensive field testing with pilot school districts and collaboration with state child nutrition agencies, LunchLens launched in 2025. Today, we serve over 500 school districts across the country, helping them maximize USDA reimbursements while ensuring every student receives compliant, nutritious meals.
Our Mission
To empower school nutrition professionals with AI-powered technology that simplifies compliance tracking, maximizes federal reimbursements, and ensures every student has access to nutritious, compliant meals.
Our Vision
A future where technology removes administrative burden from school nutrition programs, allowing staff to focus on what they do best—nourishing the next generation of learners.

Our AI models are trained on millions of meal images and continuously refined for accuracy. We maintain rigorous testing protocols and regular third-party audits to ensure consistent, reliable results.
Partnership Approach
We view ourselves as partners in your success. Our team provides comprehensive training, ongoing support, and regular check-ins to ensure you're getting maximum value from LunchLens.
